Bass fiends would have already been pretty chuffed at the Chinese Laundry Garden Party lineup, which is set to bring wubb-master Bassnectar and worthy sidekick Bare Noize to Sydney at the end of the month.
Well, prepare to go from chuffed to ecstatic, as the “part rock, part electro, entirely unmissable” MixHELL has just been added to the bill. Signed to power-label Boysnoize Records, husband and wife duo MixHELL use CDJs, mixers, synths, a live drum kit and more to create their high-octane, genre-defying sound.
Garden Party attendees would be well advised to prepare themselves for a crazy night, because Bassnectar is expecting a frenetic crowd when he gets here.
Speaking to inthemix about his last tour here, he recalled “I was stunned at how people [in Australia] get down with such chaos and mayhem. I remember wrapping up a set last year in Perth and everyone’s faces in the front row were bleeding but they were all smiling and cheering. They were just a raucous crowd.” Pumped?
