Fans of the Swedish three-piece Drop Out Orchestra may already be aware that the group isn’t that big on revealing all about themselves. Rather than deluging followers with a constant stream of banal Twitter updates, the collective prefer to keep their identities mysterious and let the music take centre stage. But as inthemix learnt last year when the Swedes dropped by to deliver us an exclusive mix, when the music is this good, it really doesn’t matter who’s behind it anyway.

Now, Drop Out Orchestra are set to hit our shores next month for their first ever Australian tour. Heading to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne at the end of February, the collective will be “blending a live bass player intense mix of unique edits, loops and acapellas”. Sound alright? Audiences can also expect to hear the Daft Punk-sampling tune International Track and if we’re lucky, any of one the number of remixes and reworks the Swedes have also become known for.

More info about ticket sales coming soon.

Drop Out Orchestra tour dates:

Saturday February 25 – Bowler Bar, Brisbane
Sunday February 26 – Ivy Pool, Sydney
Sunday February 26 – Circus, Melbourne
