The first in a trilogy of Opera House Frigid nights kicks off tonight (10 January) at 9pm as part of the Sydney Festival. Located in the Chandon Bar in a marquee on the western boardwalk of the Opera House, it’s a beautiful spot overlooking the Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay and the PA is excellent.
Seb from Sub Bass Snarl tell us, “This week we have sets from Lalila and Stalker. We first saw/heard Lalila at Electrofringe in Newcastle and they were excellent combining strange and exciting audio with equally strange urban vistas of concrete and steel”.
“Stalker has his full length album and a compilation out on his own Canberra label Geometrik as well as a track of Clan Analogue’s Cognition 3. Working with sounds and processes similar to Maurizio and Pole he make deep sparkling dub techno. Of course Sir Robbo and Sub Bass Snarl play too and we three have a top treasure trove of new tunes fresh from our trips overseas and up the coast.”
