SYDNEY: Undercover police were spotted yesterday busting pedestrians with the assistance of a friendly police dog.
One man crossing the road at Taylor Square was questioned by police when an undercover policewoman following a black Labrador on a lead approached the man when the dog sniffed the man’s legs.
After the incident, the man said the police didn’t detain him because “I didn’t have any on me”. He said the police had asked him if he smoked marijuana and he’d replied “yes”.
Sniffer dogs can pick up the scent of dope on your clothes even if you have been around smokers the day before.
I think we’ll all be thinking twice before putting that t-shirt back on in the morning to duck out and get the paper!
