Super Bowl fallout: M.I.A fined, Professor Green disgusted, LMFAO remix

If you were a little put-off by Madonna’s Super Bowl half-time show yesterday, rest assured: you’re not the only one. In fact, the 12-minute long, gladiator-filled spectacle seems to have caused quite the stir both in America and abroad.

First up, Future Music Festival player Professor Green publicly announced his distaste for Madge’s attire (or alleged lack thereof) during the performance, tweeting that she should “put some clothes on”. The rapper wrote “Somebody please just ask Madonna to put some clothes on? She can sing when she’s 80, it’ not her voice I find offensive”.

It also looks like M.I.A.’s controversial blink-and-you’ll-miss-it bird flip is going to cost her; with reports that the Brit will personally have to pay a fine to atone for all the American viewers apparently upset by the gesture. According to the ever-reliable TMZ, the Bad Girls rapper signed a contract with the NFL agreeing to compensate them for any fines issued by the FCC over the broadcast. Given the broadcaster of 2004’s Janet Jackson nip-slip was fined a whopping USD$550,000 for the infamous wardrobe-malfunction (though the fine was later withdrawn), M.I.A. better hope the sales from her new album are good.

But by far the worst thing to come out of the Super Bowl fallout is word that shuffling with Madonna wasn’t all LMFAO had planned for audiences. The pair have gone one step further and have released a remix of her new track Give Me All Your Luvin, where they’ve basically just overlayed the track with some vocals from their own hit Sexy and I Know It. We’ve opted not to embed the LMFAO remix, but you can relive M.I.A.’s middle finger salute below.
