News In Brief

Deadmau5 to release full 'The Veldt' EP

When Deadmau5 released the 8:42 long (radio edit, no less) The Veldt earlier this week, many heralded the track as a return to form for the producer. It’s good news, then, that Deadmau5 has announced that The Veldt will be released as part of an EP of the same name on June 25.

Deadmau5 created The Veldt over a 22-hour live streaming session, explaining that the track was inspired by a short science-fiction story by Ray Bradbury. Also set to feature on the EP is track Failbait, featuring recent Rusko collaborators Cypress Hill, as well as remixes of the title track.

The forthcoming EP is the first in a series to be released by Deadmau5 over the coming months, before being rolled into a full-length album to be released later in the year.

Kinda annoying that goes for so long and goes nowhere. The vocals and lyrics are really gay.
