As always, Diplo’s been busy loaning out his production skills to an ever-growing list of artists. The latest act the Mad Decent boss has been in the studio with is 90s ska/punk/pop heroes No Doubt, who this week announced the imminent release of first album in 11 years.
As picked up by Stereogum, No Doubt posted a photo of themselves and Diplo in the studio with the caption “@NoDoubt and @MajorLazer together” to Twitter. As well as Tweets about the album’s progress, last night the group uploaded a webisode detailing the recording on Push & Shove, the collaborative track between themselves and Major Lazer.
Though No Doubt credit both Switch and Diplo for work on the track in the video, it’s unclear whether Switch actually had any involvement with the production given he departed Major Lazer last year due to creative differences. Watch No Doubt – In the Studio below.
