The inaugural Zoukfest, held at holiday resort, Genting Highlands whet the appetites of a sold out crowd totaling 15,000 party goers, searching for a top notched outdoor event to celebrate the unity of dance music.
The carnival-esque festival, organized by South East Asian superclub Zouk, delivered the much anticipated ‘Zouk experience’ which saw music enthusiasts revel in a musical journey chartered by maestro duo and headlining act, Way Out West.
Hosting three themed arenas, amazing lightshows and fringe performances, the RM1.2 million festival drew crowds from all corners of the South East Asian region to toy with their senses to sounds from Futureshock, Filterheadz, Jon Cutler, Hardsoul, ATFC, Leonard T, Fluke & Simon Sez, Deadly Avenger and Cut La Roc.
Not just a club but a brand, the Zouk club is said to have created an enduring and instantly recognizable brand among the trend conscious and discerning clubbing fraternities worldwide.
It sets its sights on injecting and delivering the ‘Zouk experience’ that is defined alongside glamour, chic and cutting edge to its neighboring country, Malaysia. Zouk has collected many accolades, being named best nightspot for four times as well as a distinctive brand in the Singapore Promising Brand Awards.
Last Year, British magazine iDJ listed it among 50 legendary clubs worldwide.
