The Malaysian Heineken Thirst DJ competition has tapped funk-meisters Altered Image to represent Malaysia for the Thirst semi finals at Jakarta on May 6. Altered Image, comprising of trio – Didjital, Terence C and Callen, won over the crowd as well as judge and headliner Steve Lawler with their creativeness through Callen’s visual mastery, Didjital’s sample audio and video fx and Terence’s unique skill in mixing.
Not a stranger to the club scene, Callen is one of the countries pioneer progressive house club DJs, but he’s turned VJ (Visual Jock). Terence C has been plying the residencies in and around Kuala Lumpur for the past five years while Didjital of Bass Agents is also known in the scene.
The Malaysian semi final leg of the event will take place on May 14 at Zouk Club KL while the other semi-final leg will be in Tokyo on May 4. The three semi-final winners will battle it out at the Asia Pacific Regional Final in Bangkok on May 28 at Retro Bar and Restaurant with the winner going on to compete in the Thirst Global Final in 2006.
