In a recent interview with ITM, The Roots’ drummer ?uestlove revealed that there will be a collaboration with Fiona Apple likely to happen in the near future. “I love her to death, she’s one of my favourite artists. She and I have been admirers of each other’s work for about 10 years, without having met. We’ve been playing phone tag for the longest time! It all started when we played a party in LA. Fiona came along and sang a song onstage with us and since then we’ve been talking about working with together. So, I’m looking forward to working with her in the near future.”

Whether Fiona’s likely to make a guest appearance on The Roots’ upcoming studio album (due for release in February 2006) is unconfirmed as of yet. But keep an eye out, none the less, cause this is likely to be one of the most exciting collaborations to date!
