Finger Lickin Records have launched into the digital market with a new online store as well as special membership services as of January 2006. Prompted by observing favourable results of 30,000 downloads from the Finger Lickin’ catalogue purchased from other digital outlets such as iTunes, Napter and Music Net, the independent dance label will be setting up its own online store at fingerlickin.co.uk which will provide people with opportunities to listen and purchase music before it goes on sale. Members can also receive exclusive offers and discounts by joining Finger Lickin’s new membership service called ‘The Lick’.
Says Finger Lickin’s Justin Rushmore about the move; “with online sales becoming so popular, it made sense for us to start something up ourselves and offer our loyal fans exclusive offers on our music and products that they won’t get elsewhere… The opportunities that the digital revolution offers are endless, and by expanding our online service we are able to offer more to our customers, especially those overseas who may not necessarily have access to our music… We are very excited to be a part of it.”
