The Balance series on Australian label Stomp has long been a favourite for clubbers and purveyors of good music in general. We should have known that it wouldn’t take long before the word spread overseas and world would turn their ears to these innovative compilations. Well, the news has just come in that respected dance magazine M8 has awarded Balance 008 – mixed by Desyn Masiello – the number one compilation for 2005. Meanwhile iDJ Magazine also highly recommends the mix as one of the best compilations of the year. Balance 008 features an assortment of artists from Orbital to Ellen Alien and is regarded as one of the most inventive mix compilations in the series.
