The Big Chill is one of the world’s leading ‘chill out’ music festivals, offering the crème de la crème in talent each year – with 2006 being of no exception. Priding itself on providing an escape where revelers can kick back and let the beautiful tranquil music wash over or dance to the hottest new artists, The Big Chill always has a little something for everyone.
This year, there will be some changes to the layout of the site at Eastnor Castle Deer Park with the Castle Stage replacing the Chill stage. Meanwhile the Village Green will be dedicated to folk music in all its myriad forms throughout daylight hours. And the Sanctuary stage, with electronic and experimental music, is moving outdoors.
The line up is eclectic to say the least with names such as Jose Gonzalez, Lou Rhodes from Lamb fame, Francois K, X-Press 2, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Norman Jay, Jamie Lidell, Mr Scruff, Nightmares on Wax, Nathan Fake and many other talented artists set to perform.
As well as providing fields of live music and DJ stages, The Big Chill also has 24 hour cafes, bars, street performers, camping facilities, Comedy, Club, Cinema and Ambient tents and the Zen Zone which offers holistic healing therapies and treatments.
