U.S sensation Gabriel & Dresden have announced they will remix the theme song from Academy award winning epic Brokeback Mountain.
One of the most talked about movies in the last year, Brokeback Mountain is a tale about two ill-fated gay cowboys who fall in love in the Wyoming wilderness. It was nominated for eight Oscars and subsequently won four.
The atmospheric instrumental score ’The wings’ by Gustavo Santadalla is released on record label Verve and will be remixed by the San Francisco duo who claim they hadn’t even seen the movie before they were asked to remix it. But upon listening to the blues/country influenced music, they simply couldn’t resist.
Meanwhile Gabriel & Dresden’s debut album is set for release in June this year. Stay tuned to ITM for more updates.
