Although the Norwegian beauty only just released her 2003 debut ‘Anniemal’ over here in Australia, you can look forward to her coming back Down Under to give us a live taste of her music in July. She’s been busily piecing together the follow-up, which she’s hoping will hit shelves later this year. The tracks have moved along just enough for the platinum blonde electro princess to begin calling on some higher powers to enter the studio and work their magic.
So far she’s confirmed that ex-Smashing Pumpkins/A Perfect Circle guitarist James Iha is indeed on board for the project, as is Richard X and French stardust producer Alan Braxe. “The new songs are more club-oriented – still 80s-sounding, but different. But to be honest, I never really know what things will sound like until I finish the album. I’m sort of in the middle of the album. There’s going to be a lot of different people, it’s going to be more diverse, but I’m not quite sure which direction the production will go,” Annie revealed to MTV about the release.
