Despite rumours suggesting that the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Movement, was experiencing troubles finding a venue, it has just been revealed that the motor city’s most revered music event has not only found a home but also a scorching hot lineup as well.
Produced by Paxahau Promotions Group and sponsored by Chrysler Jeep Superstores and Motor City Dodge Dealers (ensuring financial longevity), Movement will remain at Downtown Detroit’s Hart Plaza, where it has always been staged.
As well as this, the three day festival has announced its 2006 lineup with names such as The Orb, Derrick Carter, Josh Wink, Superpitcher, Richie Hawtin, Roy Davis Jr, Daniel Bell and founders Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May and Carl Craig all billed to perform.
Additional acts will be confirmed shortly. Detroit Electronic Music Festival takes place from May 27th – 28th.
