Gnarls Barkley ask for a whip, condoms and t-bone steaks to play Creamfields

Creamfields is undoubtedly one of the biggest dance festivals to take place in the UK each year, and with the date of the 2006 event rapidly approaching some rather bizarre details of rider requirements for the headline acts have now emerged.

Heading up the bill this year is US duo Gnarls Barkley, made up of Gorillaz producer extraordinaire Danger Mouse and former Goodie Mob member Cee-Lo. Interestingly, the pair have requested that their dressing room be laid out with 10 packs of Magnum Condoms, a cat of 9 tails whip, 2 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts, muffins, t-bone steaks, 50 Hershey Bars, and probably most remarkable… 10 pairs of white socks.

A little more conventional, The Zutons have demanded plasma TV screens for their dressing rooms so they’re able to keep up to date on all the happenings of their favourite soccer team, Liverpool FC, while The Prodigy’s demands were simple; a packet of Crunchy Nut cornflakes, six bowls, six spoons, and a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne.

I've heard that Keith (Prodigy) is sooo keen on his corn flakes that the chemical brothers think that "i'm a firestarter, i'm a firestarter" should in fact be sung "i'm a cornflake eater, i'm a cornflake eater". i'm not sure whether it's really got the same ring to it tho :)
