One of the world’s biggest music festivals gets even bigger in 2007, now playing over three days for the first time ever and boasting headline performances from a reunited Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Bjork who will be performing material form her upcoming new studio album – which will apparently include contributions from producer-megastar Timbaland, no less.

Naturally, they’ll be joined by an absolutely massive list of killer dance, electronic and hip hop acts that will included Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, DJ Shadow, Happy Mondays, Faithless, LCD Soundsystem, Lupe Fiasco, Hot Chip, Junior Boys, Soulwax, !!!, Peaches, Cornelius, Spank Rock and Felix Da Housecat.

It doesn’t end there though because the lineup boasts a stack of other impressive names – Jarvis Cocker, the Good, the Bad and the Queen, Peeping Tom, the Decemberists, Arctic Monkeys, Kings Of Leon, Travis, Placebo, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Lily Allen, Gotan Project, Kaiser Chiefs and Silversun Pickups.

Lucky punters who make their way over the California for the gig can also look forward to Satellite Party, Stephen Marley feat. Jr. Gong, Konono No. 1, Nickel Creek, Black Keys, New Pornographers, Rufus Wainwright, the Rapture, Richie Hawtin, Explosions In The Sky, Sparklehorse, the Kooks, Blonde Redhead, Damien Rice, Jose Gonzales, Brazilian Girls, Regina Spektor, Ozomatli, We Are Scientists, Amy Winehouse, the Comedians of Comedy, Tapes ‘n Tapes, the Klaxons, Girl Talk, CSS, the Coup, Andrew Bird and Peter as well as Bjorn and John.

Coachella is considered among the biggest and best of the world’s major music festivals, and this year is scheduled to be held across three days between April 27-29 at the Coachella Valley in Indio, California. Organisers are promising further details soon on what else we can expect at the festival.
