Who woulda thought? America’s biggest dogg has once again faced charges on being in possession of guns and drugs, narrowly escaping serving jail time.
Smacked down with the charges on Tuesday, when he fronted up to court the next day he delivering a surprise no-contest plea, meaning he’ll be spared from heading back to the slammer. But he was still given a mighty big rap on the knuckles: a three-year suspended sentence that will see him carrying out 800 hours of community service
Snoop Dogg, infamous rapper and actor (sort of) faced charges this week on gun possession and transportation of marijuana. He was initially arrested in October last year by police at the airport on suspicion of transportation of a controlled substance. Police later discovered a gun at his home. If he had been convicted he would have faced up to four years in prison.
He’s been threatened with jail time if he breaks the terms of his sentence, and part of the agreement means he’ll also be barred from employing security guards with gang affiliations, and be required to ensure his staff carrying the appropriate gun licenses.
