No doubt one of Australia’s most technically proficient DJs, Phil K’s continued ascendance on the global stage looks set to continue unabated with the recent announcement that UK clubbing bible Mixmag regard him one of the world’s “Top 10 Video DJs”. Nice work!

Phil, who is also one half of production outfit Lostep (with Luke Chable), is widely regarded for his use of the Pioneer DVDJ digital turntable, which gives him the ability to not only skillfully manipulate sound, but also vision. ”[To be] included amongst a list of some of my heroes and true pioneers like Coldcut, Hexstatic, DJ Yoda and Dr. Charles Kriel… I must say I was a little more than shocked,” Phil said when notified of the accolade.
