Did Ministry Hire the Dome for Just £5,000?

Ministry Of Sound may have hired London’s Millennium Dome for just £5,000 (US$7,000) the Standard suggested this week, adding that if true, the deal will ‘embarrass the Government.’

“Mr James Palumbo, Mr Peter Mandelson’s Labour-supporting friend and the Ministry’s owner, stands to make £1.8million (US$2.5million) from the ticket sales to 40,000 revellers,” The Standard said.” Serious questions are raised about the nature of this deal.”

Hundreds of millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money went towards the Dome’s construction with millions more still being spent each month, as authorities consider what to do with the now empty giant structure.
