Belgian electro-rockers Soulwax found themselves in a rather hairy predicament last weekend when they were set upon by venue security while playing a show in the UK. Performing at Nation in Liverpool on Friday November 2nd, footage of the fracas has now appeared on YouTube, with security taking to the stage in an attempt to remove the band.

The incident is reported to have stemmed from frontman Stephen Dewaele’s request to fans that they move forward closer to the stage. Following his appeal to the crowd, security are said to have stormed the stage, pushing the band’s drummer into his kit. This signaled the start of an all-in-brawl between the Belgian boys and local man handlers, all of which was caught on mobile phones and promptly posted on YouTube.

Crazy stuff indeed!

I was waiting for the crowd to jump up too. They did at the forum this year and that was with the bouncers infront of them, not beating up the people hundreds of them came to see.
