South Australian audio-visual project Supermarket will enjoy its world premiere on Friday at the Squeaky Wheel Media Arts Centre in Buffalo, Western New York. The culmination of a month long production incubator artist residency there, the project presents a fusion of original electronic music (from dub and glitch through dancehall and drum n bass) and experimental imagery; projected with live visual and musical improvisation (think Hexstatic, Talvin Singh and DJ Shadow shows).
Supported by the Government of South Australia through ArtsSA and the South Australian Youth Arts Board, the two man show will then tour Canada and the USA before making its way home to Adelaide for some major support and festival shows in the new year.
