In the first television appearance of their career, Daft Punk were an unannounced addition to Kanye West’s Grammy performance of Stronger.

Despite rumours the Gallic duo’s Australian tour marked the swansong of the Daft Punk pyramid, that iconic stage set made its televisual debut in fine style.

It’s not just America that has all the fun though – Mr West left the Good Vibrations Festival in Melbourne reeling with a true headline show. Pore over the incredible photos HERE. Kanye is on his way back to our shores for the remaining Good Vibrations shows – check out our Full Coverage for all you need to know.

Check the one-of-a-kind Grammy performance below!

That wasn't the same pyramid! No screens on the front, bottom panels where to small, grap in the middle was to big, and the original did not have a sliding cover, plus it was about 2/3rds the size. Different gear inside too, Lemurs where used here, Ablet

cool! i was expecting a bigger pop when the pyramid opened though. maybe the kanye fans didn't realise who it was or why it would be anything special hehe

And that there is why Kanye and Daft Punk continue to sell as many records and shows as they do - pure entertainment. Love it.

I have to give it to Kanye here... did the good vibes show in melbourne (he was the last act mind you). Flew back to LA to the Grammies to perform with Daft Punk, then flying back to Aussieland to do the remaining Good Vibes shows... I think more stars /

they used lemurs to control abletron on their tour. Im pretty sure a lot of people in the crowd knew it was daft punk because of the pyramids they made with their hands, or perhaps they were really confused jay z fans.

Kayne is pretty good at what he does - he's a great performer. I agree that Daft Punk sold out on this one though- after selling 100,000 tickets at $120 a ticket for their Australian tour, why would they need to this tour?

I would say its more of an honour to perform at the grammies then to make $120 a ticket touring australia. They have kept to their style and form but play to bigger audiences with people watching on tv, that isnt selling out

First all, Zealbee you couldnt be more wrong as the Grammy performance by daft punk was not actually them but it was computer animated effects. Another clue is that Thomas Bangalter is not on his usual side of the pyrimid, something they're very adaman
