Techno chameleon Matthew Dear was celebrating his birthday with a set at Brooklyn’s Galapagos Art Space over the weekend, when some little turd thieved the hard drive he was playing from.

According to a post on the Brookyln Vegan blog, Dear “suddenly got a message on his computer [mid-set] saying that his hard disk drive was unplugged.” Sure enough, the drive had left the building. Disappointingly for everyone but the disco burglar, the music stopped and the night flat-lined. No doubt Dear is now cursing his recent move from Detroit to Brooklyn.

After Calvin Harris’s unfortunate loss, this may be the month for producers to keep a close eye on their precious goods…

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!
