England’s favourite rave-a-thon Global Gathering has a suitably epic line-up planned for this year. Amongst all the previously announced DJs (basically, cut and paste 2007 line-up, make minor amendments), Kanye West has now been revealed as the main stage headliner.
The rap entrepreneur is set to perform his Glow In The Dark show, which he’s first taking around North America for two months starting 16 April. Those shows also boast Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D. and Rihanna, so Global Gathering may see some surprise visitors.
What’s even radder is that Kanye will definitely be joined on stage by a cast of monsters designed by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Radder still is the news that Martin Phillips and John McGuire, the duo who handled all the pretty colours on Daft Punk’s pyramid, will be lighting the festival set. If past experience is anything to go by, Mr West might even get his robot friends to drop in…
Also presiding at the top of the bill is ‘look-I’m-techno-again’ producer Moby and Mark Ronson with his Version Players. Then, regular as clockwork, there’s Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Eric Prydz, David Guetta, John Digweed, Sasha, Roger Sanchez et al. The line-up goes very deep, too, with some headline-worthy DJs wallowing in the fine print.
The 55,000-capacity festival locks it jaw and gets sweaty from Friday 25 to Saturday 26 July at Long Marston Airfield, Warwickshire. Check out the full line-up here.

This guy is just another Puff Daddy on the Hip-Hop scene; not worth the time of day! Oh and by the way, if anybody watched this up-himself wanker perform at Good Vibrations Festival earlier this year, you'll understand why he is a BAD choice to headline the Global Gathering festival. There is still some good Hip-Hop out there, Kanye is not it, keep diggin'...

Jesus titty fucking Christ. What the FUCK is Kanye West doing on the headlining stage for a dance festival? What a SELL OUT piece of shit. Ok, so it's a given that Kanye is a faggot and shouldn't be ANYWHERE NEAR a dance festival stuttering his "hip hop" shit, but he's the WORST end of todays hip hop too?! At a festival in which a good portion of people are going to be familiar with *real* technical and production values - you'd have to scoff, and wander away from his pure SAMPLE ridden bullshit. I know I would. Your shit stinks, buddy. So keep it in your own lane.
