Nine Inch Nails man Trent Reznor has revealed he’s planning a cable TV series based on the 2007 NIN album Year Zero.

Speaking with the New York Times, Reznor was elusive about the project, but did reveal he is working on it with Lawrence Bender – the producer behind most of Quentin Tarantino’s ouvere.

Year Zero the series will take place “approximately 15 years in the future”, with the world under the dictatorship of a malevolent major record label. Okay, we made the last bit up…but there is something in there about the US being run by religious dictators.

Sounds likes the light, frothy fare we’ve come to expect from Reznor, right?

no band has more brown-nosing, easily-manipulated fans than Nine Inch Nails. Well, maybe Tool.
