Notoriously outspoken American hip hop mogul Kanye West has definitely polarised the opinion of punters for Godskitchen’s forthcoming UK festival Global Gathering. The event, which takes place across Friday July 25th and Saturday July 26th at Long Martson Airfield near Straford Upon Avon, features eight stages on the first day and nine on the second, with a ridiculously diverse range of artists set to appear.
As the festival’s headliner it is understandable Kanye would be given preferential treatment when it comes to set times and staging, however he’s once again raised the ire of ticket purchasers following the announcement he’ll be the sole performer on the Main Stage next Friday. Yep, that’s right, no DJs and certainly no other live acts… Kanye wants Friday night all to himself.
On Saturday the Main Stage lineup will see Mark Ronson, Roisin Murphy, Robyn, Sam Sparro, Hadouken and Filthy Dukes all peacefully co-exist, however the ‘sheer scale of production’ for Kanye’s show has him as Friday’s sole headline act. After royally pissing off fans at American festival Bonnaroo recently when he took to the stage at 4.25am, perhaps it’ll all work out for the best. At least this way Kanye won’t need to call Global Gathering organisers’ ‘SQUID BRAINS!’ in an all-caps blog entry after the fact…

he is absolute joke. he doesn't give his all in any of his performances. his set at good vibes was boring. i was 2 rows from front and i sat down because i was so sick of his rubbish. he has lost the plot with his head so far up his ass. kayne come back down to earth son, your not god.

Kanye as a producer is very good...as a person...needs to grow the fuk up. And the only reason entertainment companies are putting him on a pedestal is because he sells tickets and pop losers will attend.
