Psychedelic rave-rockers Primal Scream are still hard at it. Having recently headlined Scotland’s massive T In The Park festival, the band are preparing to unveil its ninth album this month – featuring collaborations with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and Lovefoxxx of Brazilian new ravers CSS.
This outing goes by the name of ‘Beautiful Future’, and it features 11 tracks of signature Primal Scream weirdness. The guest appearances are intriguing to say the least – where else can you find the voices of CSS and Queens of the Stone Age on one album? Also on board are Linda Thompson, and Björn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John.
To help usher in the ‘Future’, Primal Scream play a bunch of festival dates over the coming months, including Japan’s Fuji Rock. To think they’ll be so close and won’t pay us a visit..! Maybe this summer though?
’Beautiful Future’ tracklist:
1. Beautiful Future
2. Can’t Go Back
3. Uptown
4. The Glory of Love
5. Suicide Bomb
6. Zombie Man
7. Beautiful Summer
8. I Love to Hurt (You Love to Be Hurt)
9. Over & Over
10. Necro Hex Blues
11. The Glory of Love
