Pacha London have unveiled final details of their new music policy following their £1 million refurbishment, which includes monthly parties presented by Twisted Disco, underground house label CR2 and Mixmag. The new Friday night events are being branded as Pacha Beyond and are intended to bring the Victoria club ‘in line with the other superb Pacha venues around the world’, a promise Mixmag’s Associate Publisher James Mowbray was happy to endorse.
“It’s acknowledged that Pacha London has a cheesy past reputation, but there’s been a complete overhaul in terms of people and creative direction and we’re rubbing shoulders with some good new promoters and events,” James told Skrufff. “Pacha have worked with us to bring in some really interesting and diverse acts, from underground to big main room types. The refurbishment inside looks great and the new Martin Audio system is amazing. We’ve got Herve, Riton, Little Boots, Appleblim, Hatcha and a really big secret live guest for the launch on October 17,” he enthused.
Mowbray also strenuously denied that the Mixmag team will be holed up in secret VIP rooms mixing with their stars and insisted the whole editorial staff will be mixing with readers on the dance floor and ‘dancing like Dads’. “We don’t do things by halves at Mixmag, so expect a good party,” he vowed.
