Deadmau5 set tongues wagging last week when he was announced as one of the artists for the 2009 Good Vibrations Festival tour. It’ll be the Canadian young gun’s second Australian tour, and his first ever down under on a festival line-up.

As the poster-boy of next generation electronic music producers, Deadmau5 has sold in excess of 30,000 copies of his tracks on Beatport. In accordance, he was voted Best Electro House and Best Progressive House artist as well as Most Influential Person at the Beatport Music Awards earlier this year.

With his debut album, Random Album Title, about to drop, we got a behind the scenes look at the creation of his legendary “Mau5head” stage costume with special Snap! photo gallery. If you’d like to see what went in to making the outfit, just click the link below. It’s like Gepetto’s workshop on crack!

hot tip to anyone who has the know how to make their own mau5 head. last time i saw him, there was one guy wearing a pretty good one, and he got him up on stage for a while. so if you want to get up on stage and make a fool of yourself go for it, no one
