It seems to happen every year… so to be honest we can’t be entirely sure this is the 100% bonafide list for 2008. If it’s a hoax, someone sure has a lot of time on their hands. Regardless of its accuracy, forums and message boards the world over are abuzz with the leak of this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 list, which comes days ahead of the official results party at Ministry of Sound nightclub in London on Wednesday October 29th.

Uplifting trance has once again stamped its dominance over the world’s largest annual barometer of who’s hot and who’s not in the global club scene, with the top four all known to push the ‘hands in the air’ styles. On the leaked list Armin van Buuren ranks at #1 for his second successive year, with Tiesto, Paul van Dyk and Above & Beyond following closely, while French house luminary David Guetta rounds out the top five. Flying the flag for Australia, Dirty South ranks at #74, moving up from #98 in 2007. Go Aussie, go!

Check out the full list of 1-100 below. We’ll bring you an update after the official announcement later this week to confirm its accuracy! Also be sure to check out our Snap! featured gallery with the DJs who feature 1-20.

Guetta has a massive weekly radio show; f*ck me im famous. U will find that most of the top 20 have radio shows. Cause all this really is, is a populatirty content, right? Not a real technical contest is it.

dempsey_2002 ....Daft Punk has actually climbed about 30 positions from last year and this is probably due to their recent tours helping people remember that they are still alive. Maybe that’s why they called it the alive tour. Hands go up to Deadmau5 who has stormed in this year to number 11, he wasn’t even listed last year. Here is the top 100-150 101. Hybrid 102. Robbie Rivera 103. Sebastian Ingrosso 104. Yoji Biomehanika 105. John Dahlbäck 106. Lisa Pin-Up 107. Valentino Kanzyani 108. John 00 Fleming 109. Luciano 110. Christopher Lawrence 111. John Graham 112. BT 113. Laurent Garnier 114. Westbam 115. Super8

yep... its pop... just like the top 40 charts... whatever is popular is going to rank the highest... but that doesnt always make it good... myself, i like the underground shit... there would be like a hand full there that i would actually rate. it is a pretty useless chart really...

I saw David guetta in Mauritius a couple of years ago and it was massive and insane, after he played everyone thought the DJ after was average just cause we had been on after Guetta. Daft punk at 38 is a bit dodge i think
