Party organisers booked a village hall in Norton, East England recently, partying to dance music – so reports web portal EADT.co.uk – until cops broke up the ‘illegal dancing’ at 2.20 am. Mid Suffolk district police commander Chief Inspector NealAtwell said a man using a false name had booked the hall at the last minute claiming he wanted to host a ‘21st birthday party’, prompting hundreds to descend on the sleepy East Anglia village.

“These types of unlicensed events cause disruption to the local community and can leave the owners of the venues with huge clean-up and repair bills,” the commander claimed. “I would ask that those who manage the bookings at village halls or similar locations make sure that they are confident the event is legitimate, and the names and addresses they are provided with are genuine.”

Meeanwhile in London, the Harrow Observer reported on a 24 hour squat party in near Stonebridge Park tube station which attracted 2,000 revellers at the beginning of November and were sympathetic in the witnesses they included in their piece. “Not everyone here is out of their head. Most people have just come for a good time,” Brighton partygoer Voytek Stanley, 27, told the local London newspaper.
