Gui Boratto readies new album

Releasing one of the stand out albums of 2007 with his stunning debut Chromophobia, Brazilian techno wunderkind Gui Boratto has had electronica fans salivating over his next move for quite some time. Details have begun to emerge, however, on its hotly anticipated follow-up, with German imprint Kompakt set to unleash his next opus Take My Breath Away on March 23rd.

Beatportal got a sneak peak at the album recently, and if their initial reports are to be believed it looks as though Boratto has once again managed to find the perfect balance in his musical approach, with tracks that will find favour in both the club and home listening environments. “From the start, it’s clear Take My Breath Away is destined both for dancefloors and home stereos with the tracklist split roughly down the middle between Boratto’s standard (and excellent) deep techno tracks and cute electro pop numbers.”

Chromophobia was my fav album of '07. He was great live. Looking forward to hearing the new album.
