No doubt a whole lot more Australians are familiar with the Global Gathering brand since the world renowned festival made its debut down under late in 2008, so the announcement of headliners for this year’s event in the UK should come as welcome news to some.

Following a mixed response to last year’s headliner Kanye West, for the 2009 festival Global Gathering have taken a step back in time with two of the longest serving live dance acts on the scene set to headline. Topping the bill are recent Australian visitors The Prodigy, who’ll be joined by rejoined rave legends Orbital. Not to be outdone, the one and only Pendulum have also been announced.

Of course there are a lot more still to come, so stay tuned for updates. Global Gathering UK hits Long Marston Airfield, near Stratford-upon-Avon, on Friday July 24th and Saturday July 25th.
