Global Underground has long held a reputation as one of the dance scene’s most pioneering labels for their forward thinking progressive compilations, and the wraps have now come off their newest venture which will be helmed by the one and only Nic Fanciulli.

Sounds good, right? You betcha… however they’re clearly more interested in letting the music do the talking, as there wasn’t a great deal of creative thought put into naming the brand new series. Progressive fans worldwide, we present to you; Global Underground DJ – 001.

“I’m so excited about this new series for GU,” explains label founder Andy Horsfield. “I feel now is the time for us to give world class DJs like Nic the opportunity to really show the world how amazing they are. I picked Nic to launch this series for us as he is the one DJ who has consistently impressed me every time I’ve seen him play.”

The CD is spread out over two discs and is packed with exclusive tracks and remixes. In fact the second CD is almost entirely made up of music you won’t hear anywhere else. With Fanciulli having toured Australia just last month, it was no doubt a fitting introduction to his current sound, but for the full story be sure to check out his Global Underground DJ – 001 mix when it’s released on April 27th.

Who cares what it's called? Can't be worse than Deadmau5's attempt at a post-modern album title!

What a fantastic looking tracklist. That Rolando tune "Where Were You" is absolute gold!
