Having recently unveiled plans for the launch of his own fashion label – which he’s named Richly.Hawtin, naturally – the blogosphere and forums worldwide have been having a field day poking fun at Canada’s most industrious dance music superstar Richie Hawtin.

UK magazine Fact even went so far as to compile a top 10 list of Hawtin’s “most ridiculous ideas”, which we will be the first to admit did illicit more than a few chuckles around the office at ITM HQ. M-nus branded earrings and beach towels, that haircut, and a rather interesting introductory track on his 2002 Cocoon mix CD with Sven Vath… Oh and the Cube. Who could forget the Cube!

Check out the full list here if you’re keen to find out more, and if you’re keen to ingratiate yourself even further in all things Richie take a look through our featured gallery here. And don’t worry Richie, we still love you!

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!

You can't move forward without thinking outside of the box he is just trying to in the most part explore different aspects of dance music and the culture surrounding it

Brilliant!!! With a name like "Richly Hawtin" some might bound to reflect with laughter yet never the less the name is gaining the publicity in the process. Quite genius really!

i think it's a great idea :) He frequently wears Rick Owens, Anne Demeulemeester etc so why not try and do it himself.. best of Luck Ritchie
