It has been six long years since the last Massive Attack studio album – 100th Window – and accompanying Australian tour. The trip hop legends have kept a pretty low profile in that time, releasing their best of compilation Collected in 2006 and playing shows sporadically across Europe, so the announcement of their first UK tour proper in over three years has got more than a few people excited.
Having places at #13 on our 30 Most Wanted Tours Of 2009 feature a few months back, we have to say we’re hanging for a return visit. For now, however, we’ll have to watch from afar as they set out on a 10-date jaunt around the UK this September and October. As well as the Massive Attack classics we’ve come to know and love, it’s expected that the tour will see the group debuting some of their newest material live.

Sep 21 – Sheffield
Sep 22 – Birmingham
Sep 24 – Leeds
