With an agonizing two month wait until the new Calvin Harris album drops, our excitement for the new LP has already hit fever pitch here at ITM HQ. And being the tease that he is, Calvin Harris has whet our appetites even more by revealing some new details about the upcoming record. Amongst the details that he revealed to NME over the weekend, Harris reveals that the album is called Ready For The Weekend and that its filled with having “massive riffs” and “big hands-in-the-air moments”.
Calvin dished the dirt on Ready For The Weekend, letting slip a few song titles – Relax, Worst Day – and the news that the album will be preceded by a single of the same name. The single Ready For The Weekend will feature the vocal tones of Mary Pearce, who’s worked with Primal Scream and The Streets, and as we reported back here, Calvin’s roped in Grade-A remixing talent for the single including High Contrast, Fake Blood and Dave Spoon, so the release will be just as massive as current thumper I’m Not Alone.
Have a listen to ITM’s recent interview with Calvin Harris and stay tuned for more deets as we get them!
