Lord knows we love the rush and thrill of finding a brilliant new producer, artist, band or whatever, but sometimes it’s just great to listen to your old favourites. You know, like going back and revisiting Daft Punk’s Homework or Exit Planet Dust from the Chemical Brothers. There’s history there, and we love that. So imagine how excited we got today when heard that French touch pioneers Cassius were coming back again!

The pair behind Cassius, that’s Frenchmen Boom Bass and Philippe Zdar, were last heard of back in 2006 with their stomping 15 Again LP, an album that even brought them out here for We Love Sounds 2008. Since then, the boys have been busy working on albums from the likes of Phoenix and Tiga, and seemingly working on the comeback single that was announced overnight with a low-key Facebook update.

The new 12” single contains two new Cassius tracks the first entitled Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes and the second Almost Cut My Hair. Confusing song titles aside, we’re excited for this one and will be first in line when it hits the street on July 14th.
