I can completely understand why one of my favourite bands – in this instance the disco-loving DFA prodigy Holy Ghost!, who visited the Beck’s Festival Bar earlier this year – have hooked up with the corporate types over at Mountain Dew to release their latest single. After all, Mountain Dew is super refreshing. And they’ve also been on a mission to hip-up their brand by partnering with cool acts (so far Matt & Kim, The Cool Kids and now Holy Ghost!) to release free music. And the one thing people love more than yellow-ish green soft drink is free music, right?

The duo’s new single goes by the name of I Will Come Back and is a consummate disco workout, complete with trembling synths, clattering percussion and a Brooklyn youth choir. So in short, it’s awesome.

Like we said, it’s free from the Mountain Dew Green Label mini-site, so get it before your balls shrink.

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!

'Mountain Dew is super refreshing'? 'partnering with cool acts'? I love Holy Ghost! but you just made them sound like douches. I can understand why they would hook up with Mountain Dew - Money.

Heh, okay then. Obviously that first one was sarcastic and for me, The Cool Kids and Holy Ghost! are cool acts. Apologies all 'round.
