Ahead of the band’s Australian debut at this year’s Parklife festival, spiky UK duo La Roux have landed a milestone in their home country; they’ve hit number 1 on the UK singles chart with their latest tune, Bulletproof.

The chart domination comes on the back of their previous single’s – In For The Kill – earlier success, when it hit the number 2 spot. The success of the new single comes hot on the heels of the duo’s reportedly jaw-dropping set at the Glastonbury festival over the weeked. So, in short, we’re getting excited for their arrival as Parklife draws ever closer.

In other chart news, fans have been mourning the sudden death of Michael Jackson, sending the fallen King of Pop straight up the charts, with seven MJ albums in the Top 100 and a staggering 20 singles in the Top 75. Wowzers.
