In what sounds like the most awesome gig ever, UK trance legends Above & Beyond have taken to the skies to play a one-off acoustic gig in a hot air balloon.The club icons ditched their studio trickery for a stripped back acoustic set in front of a small crowd, including two lucky fans (a move that’s reminiscent of their fantastic house party with one blessed ITMer last year) as well as the one and only Pete Tong.

Revealing their inspiration for the high flying gig, the group said “last year we put out Anjunabeats Volume 6, and on the cover were three hot air balloons…we thought it would be nice to actually go up in one…the original idea was to do a DJ set, but given how quiet it was up there it would’ve been the wrong thing. So we thought we’d try something different”.
