CHECK OUT THE FIRST CONCEPT ART FROM TRON LEGACY HERE!

Daft Punk. They’re the robots that everyone loves. Their albums inspire continued devotion, and their jaw dropping live show seems to make us all weak at the knees. So when word got out that the robo-shelled duo of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo would be touring in support of their next record, we pretty much shat a brick.

But hold up, what record are we talking about here, you ask. That’d be the French duo’s upcoming score for the new Tron movie – now entitled Tron Legacy – that we reported on back here. According to news reports on Pitchfork, the man responsible for rebooting the long forgotten Disney future-romp, director Joseph Kosinski, Daft Punk will definitely hit the road again to coincide with their film score for Tron Legacy.

“There would definitely be Daft Punk Tron-themed events on the horizon,” the director revealed to enquiring fans at this week’s Comic-Con event.

As if the prospect of Daft Punk scoring the futuristic epic wasn’t tantalizing enough, imagine a suped-up Daft Punk pyramid show to accompany it! Drool.

We’ll have to hold off the celebrations for a little while as Tron Legacy isn’t due to cream our pants until 2011. But until then, we’ll all be waiting and dreaming of the day that those magnificent French robots return.

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!

i love daft punk as much as the next guy but reporting which over uses phrases like 'makes us all weak at the knees' seems to uneccessarily raise expectations. i'm sure that their new show would be amazing but they're just two guys dressed in robot suits

gus876 "i love daft punk as much as the next guy.... but they're just two guys dressed in robot suits" Obviously you don't love them as much as the next guy other wise you would unequivocally understand how they do make you weak at the knees! WOAW NELL
