CHECK OUT THE FIRST CONCEPT ART FROM TRON LEGACY HERE!
Following on from the big news that the pioneering pair of French robots, Daft Punk, would return to the live arena with the release of Disney’s forthcoming Tron Legacy and its accompanying Daft Punk-scored soundtrack – read the full story here -, some select snippets of the film’s soundtrack have surfaced over the weekend and as you would expect, people are going ape shit.
The first preview of Daft Punk’s involvement with Tron Legacy comes from some amateur footage of the Tron installation at last week’s Comic-Con event. In the video posted below, a group of excited fanboys are shown concept art and eventually the finished product for the new Tron lightcycle while some futuristic electro plays in the background.
While there’s no confirmation on whether the track in the background is indeed a part of Daft Punk’s score, with its grinding, mechanical tones it definitely sounds like something our favourite robots would do.
The next teaser of Daft Punk material comes in the first official preview of Tron Legacy, which features some decidedly French-sounding sequencers. It also comes off like the perfect accompaniment to the visuals in the trailer, which just quickly look amazing beyond belief. Even though we have to wait until 2010 we seriously cannot wait for this to come out.
