If you’re anything like us here at ITM then you’re hankering for more festival action now that Splendour In The Grass has well and truly wrapped up. Thankfully, the summer festival season is on the horizon and things are looking mighty tasty!
Just yesterday, the first lineup for New Zealand’s Rhythm & Vines festival was announced and we were paying special attention because the NZ festival usually reveals several clues about which acts will be in our hemisphere and will make the cut for our big summer events.
On the bill for this year’s Rhythm & Vines festival is an impressive run of big names that we’d definitely want to see over here including Russian wizard Proxy, Krafty Kuts and LCD Soundsystem’s main-man, James Murphy, performing an exclusive DJ set alongside local heroes Bag Raiders. Also on the list are the rumoured Falls Festival act, The Juan MacLean and Major Lazer who had previously mentioned they’d be here for New Year’s, lending further weight to the possibility of acts crossing over.
Another entrant on the lineup is controversial Australian dream-poppers, Empire Of The Sun, whose presence on the lineup indicates that they’ll be hitting all the big summer festivals after their Parklife debut.
This seems like just the tip of the iceberg for what’s ahead this summer, so stay tuned to ITM’s festival page as we’ll be following any updates about which superstars will be heading our way for more festival goodness.
