The crew from EQ Recordings were always going to have a tough time matching the groundbreaking Balance 014 from Dutch prodigy Joris Voorn, which easily takes the prize as the best mix compilation so far of 2009, but they may have found a worthy candidate to pass the Balance baton onto in the form of Will Saul.
As revealed in consummate style in the ITM forums, Balance 015 will be a three-CD affair and is set for release in late October. Musically, you expect a diverse approach to the track selection, with EQ Recordings indicating it’ll contain everything from the smooth house to disco to dubstep.
Will Saul is the DJ/producer responsible for labels Simple Records and Aus Music, with his sound described as ‘deepdubdiscohousetechno’ with a soulful edge. Some of the acts he’s remixed have included Jesse Rose, Solomun, Steve Lawler, Phonique, Marc Romboy and he was also resident at legendary London underground haunt The End before the club shut its doors earlier this year.
Expect Will Saul’s Balance 015 in late October, meanwhile if you’re going to find waiting a hassle then have a listen to his recent set in ITM-FM.
