Just the other day we were exclaiming about how the oddball union of Israeli trance duo Infected Mushroom and the likes of Korn’s Jonathon Davis, Perry Farrell and Jim Morrison from beyond the grave would’ve made a perfect inclusion to our big countdown of Questionable Collaborations. Well, let’s make room for some more mismatched collaborations, as enduring pop-diva Christina Aguilera has lined up some eclectic guests for her new album.
According to our favourite Brits over at the NME, the US popstar confirmed that her forthcoming album will see the singer team up with the likes of M.I.A, Santigold, Ladytron and Goldfrapp as well as Australian singer Sia and the previously reported on electro-punks Le Tigre. That’s pretty wild batch of collaborators considering Aguilera’s past work with pop-heavyweights like Diddy, Mark Ronson and Alicia Keys.
“I think I’m most proud of this work than I’ve ever been, just because I worked with so many amazing and incredibly talented people,” Aguilera gushed of the album. “I think we really created some super crazy magic together.”
Super crazy magic? We’re pretty sure only chronic crackheads talk like that, so now more than ever, this new album should be pretty damn interesting to hear.
