A teaser taste of Tiesto's indie-themed 'Kaleidoscope'

It’s hard to blame us for it, but ITM has definitely kicked into Tiesto overdrive over the last month or so, with everyone going a little gaga for the heavyweight Dutchman’s upcoming Kaleidoscope tour that’s set to hit Australian shores in early 2010 – get the exclusive dates right here.

Of course, we’re also pretty psyched to hear Tiesto’s next LP of which the tour takes its name from, partly because it’s his first record since the immense Elements Of Life and also because this time he’s brought with him a cadre of unusual guests, including indie rockers like Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke, Metric’s Emily Haines and Sigur Ros’ Jonsi.

Ahead of its October 9th release date, we’ve stumbled across the first taste of Tiesto’s new indie-centric bent, as his track with twin sister duo Tegan and Sara has premiered overnight at Stereogum. Whilst we were a little cautious as to what the combination of a trance powerhouse like Tiesto and the guitar-strumming indie of Tegan Sara would bring, we’re actually really impressed with the resulting track, Feel It In My Bones. Check it out in the YouTube clip below.

Add this new track to the better-than-expected collaboration with local pop troupe Sneaky Sound System, I Will Be Here, and we’ve got to say that Kaleidoscope is looking like one of the year’s most intriguing listens.

Once the album’s out of course we’ll be back to counting down the days until Tiesto touches down in Australia for his long-awaited tour. Check out his dates below and stay tuned to inthemix for more as we get it.

Tiesto Kaleidoscope Australian tour dates:

Fri Jan 29th – Sydney, Hordern Pavilion
Sun Jan 31st – Brisbane, Riverstage

It's like someone said they'd organise a party in my ears with lesbians and DJ and cool things like that, but instead they invited Tiesto and Tegan & Sarah and they threw up and trashed the joint and the cops were called, and there was a riot on the stree

I think that everyone who is getting excited over seeing him are living in hope that he'll play his old stuff and none of this crap. Good luck guys, not going to waste my time, might end up great but won't bother me missing out on him at all

I like my indie music at the moment but this could have sounded so much better. Needs to be edgier rather than floaty. Too cheesy the way it is atm

Just check out how the ticket sales have gone since Wed 26th, still plenty left to buy both the Friday & Saturday nights in Melbourne, LOL, what does that tell ya? Abit of a contrast from his Elements of Life Tour in 2008, that was a sellout within hours
