New Zealand’s own multi-day extravaganza Rhythm & Vines festival always serves as a sneak peek at what big name international guests are set to make waves on the Australian festival circuit, and this year has been no exception, with LCD Soundsystem, Major Lazer and The Jaun Maclean all spilling over from the kiwi festival to play some big Australian shows. Accordingly, it’s with eagle eyes that we’ve been monitoring any new additions to the NZ festival, for hints at who else we’d be seeing on these shores this summer, and it’s starting to look very good indeed.
Coming in earlier today, the Rhythm & Vines festival has announced that they’ll be adding some more big names to the lineup including revered deck masters and Soulwax side project 2manydjs, as well gloomy Brits Editors, White Rabbits and the one and only Moby, who we recently included in our Summer Hitlist countdown.
Joining those international guests will be top local talent like Ajax, Emerson Todd and the Bang Gang’s own party-starters Doom and Hoodrat. They’ll slot alongside a host of Kiwi artists like Opensouls and Dane Rumble as well as previously announced heavy hitters Krafty Kuts, Proxy, Empire Of The Sun and Bag Raiders.
We’re pumped to hear that the Dewaele brothers will be bringing their 2manydjs showcase back this way, so rest assured we’ll have our ears to the ground for news on any Australian dates that will more than likely eventuate – Nevereverland anyone? -.
